If you want something shorter, we put out a collection of 6 scenarios called Europe Ablaze, each of which should be good for 1-2 sessions of play. There is an introductory mini-campaign in the book which is a great introduction to the setting.
The Darkest Hour is largely background information on the SOE, setting details for various theatres of operations, ideas and plot hooks for Mythos activities and sections on new weapons and equipment. In fact, if you're already using 7th edition, the vehicle rules are pretty redundant.Īpart from that, the main changes to the rules are some additional stages to character creation to reflect the intensive training that recruits to the Special Operations Executive undergo.
There are a few new spot rules for things like parachuting and combat involving vehicles, but you can treat those as optional. I'd say it's easy enough for a new Keeper.
